Meet Ben! The transition to life after high school can be filled with uncertainty for people with developmental disabilities. DD Advocates helps connect individuals and their families with resources to help them prepare for and feel confident about life after high school. Check out our second transition series story which highlights Ben, a Grandview High School graduate, basketball enthusiast and all-around team player. Ben is currently preparing for life after high school by participating as an intern with the Pathway to Employment Program at Mercy Hospital Jefferson.

Meet Aitana, a charismatic and playful little girl who represents only one of the many children receiving service coordination from the Advocates for Developmental Disability (DDA). Access to resources like therapy, and increasing and alternative communication devices gives the Aitana family hope that their future is as bright as their beautiful spirit is.
